It’s no secret that Bridgerton fans are eagerly anticipating season 3 of their favorite period romance, which will explore the relationship between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton.
Not even the release of the series’ prequel, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story could stop #Polin fans for a second and distract them from creating more and more theories about what to expect.
Of course, the element of surprise is very limited when it comes to Bridgerton, as the show is based on a book franchise of the same name. However, Shondaland’s adaptation of the story has already proven to deviate from the source material in a number of ways, leaving some room for fan imagination.
One of the most requested and anticipated storylines for season 3 of the show would be Penelope’s redemption arc, where she makes up for everything she’s done for Marina Thompson and how she treated her.
The general audience feels that no love story could do justice to Penelope’s character without her admitting the parts where she was wrong, so there is a lot to work on.
Though the simplest way to fix everything would be a sincere apology, there are other ways to further secure her good intentions. Using the power Penelope has through Lady Whistledown is definitely one of them.
As fans believe, it would be especially great to see Penelope Featherington come to the defense of newlywed Kate Bridgerton and make her feel more secure in a noble society by using Lady Whistledown to spread some information about her that would portray her in a good light.
Not only would this be a great help to Kate, who can’t feel too good about a recent wedding she and her husband ruined, but it would also be a nice bonding moment for two women joining the Bridgerton family.
Instead of constantly being upset with the other women around her, it would be nice to see Penelope build a real friendship.
