LET’S SOAP SO Catherine Tyldesley sparks rumours of a Coronation Street comeback with reunion snap after Cakegate row
CATHERINE Tyldesley has sparked Corrie comeback rumours when a cast member posted a reunion snap with her in the mix.
The actress is known for playing Eva Price in the soap, but her character left the cobbles for France in 2018.
She had some hard hitting storylines in Coronation Street over her seven year stint, including losing boyfriend Aidan to suicide in some of her final scenes.
Catherine was recently pictured alongside her former co-stars as they enjoyed a birthday celebration together at Thai Khun.
Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy Mayhew in Corrie, posted the sweet snap of his friends all gathered around a table at the restaurant.
He wrote: “Birthday meal. I’m so blessed to have these beautiful people in my life. The darkest day of the year & they still all came out. Bless them.
“The only one missing is the glorious @officialsuecleaver who was also there but not there for the picture. I’m blessed to know you all.”
Since Catherine’s character was never killed off, the reunion had some fans wondering if she might be planning on making a return to Weatherfield.
The 40-year-old was recently embroiled in some drama when a small bakery revealed her representatives had tried to score free cake for her birthday.
Three Little Birds baker owner Rebecca Severs shared the email exchange between her and events firm NVRLND, where they could be seen asking for the confectionary in exchange for exposure.
Catherine denied any knowledge of ‘cakegate’ but slammed the baker for using her name as a claim to fame.
Fans were quick to hit out, blasting her reply as “tone deaf”.
At the time Daniel appeared to take a swipe at Catherine for the debacle, tweeting: “Support small, family run, local businesses & restaurants as much as possible [heart emoji].”
It seems the pair have made up now as she was included in his birthday celebrations.
