Major Coronation Street legend returns in huge comeback that everyone has been dying for

There has been a Tracy Barlow-shaped hole in Coronation Street since her departure earlier this year – but that finally looks set to change.

Yes folks, we can confirm that Our Tracy (Kate Ford) is back on t’cobbles next week.

Soap fans were left devastated back in April when the Weatherfield icon split from husband Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and set off for pastures new with lover Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn).

While she has been off sunning herself in Spain, things at home have changed quite a bit, with dad Ken Barlow (William Roache) taking action to look after his health, and daughter Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) getting drawn into Leanne Battersby’s (Jane Danson) involvement with cult organisation The Institute.

So when Tracy returns to Weatherfield, she is shocked to find that Ken is employing Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) as his carer.

Making her feelings known, Cassie takes offence at Tracy’s comments.

However, there are question marks over what has really brought Tracy home.

While she insists she is simply back to see Amy, Ken senses there’s more to her unannounced arrival.

Has Tracy split from Tommy? And will her return be a permanent one?

Tracy could also be set for an awkward reunion with Steve, who made an attempt to win her back just as she was departing for Spain.
