Tom Selleck can’t ditch the blues over ‘early retirement he never wanted’
Tom Selleck’s family is planning his 80th birthday party, but the actor is still feeling the blues
Tubby TV veteran Tom Selleck isn’t happy about his aging body as he grapples with the end of his long-running cop show Blue Bloods.
According to an insider, Selleck can’t ditch the blues even as his happy family plans a party for his 80th birthday party.
“It’s no secret Tom’s been in questionable health, and he tells everyone how much he resents this early retirement that he never wanted,” a tipster said.
“The idea of turning 80 makes him feel melancholy – and he can’t help worrying over how much time he has left,” the mole continued.
“His thunderous weight gain must be putting terrible pressure on his joints”, the insider observed,” added the tipster.
Per the tipster, “His family is trying to lift his spirits. But he’s not walking well, and being crowned an octogenarian feels like a nail in the coffin.”
This comes after the Three Men and a Baby star sported scars on his legs in July, indicating he’d had knee replacement surgery.
Mirkin said the actor’s “massive abdominal obesity” can lead to diabetes.
“The odds are overwhelming that he is already diabetic, and every high rise in blood sugar after eating can damage every cell in his body. Bad knees are directly associated with abdominal obesity that causes diabetes – that damages nerves and damages the knee joint itself,” Mikrin added of Tom Selleck.
