Blue Bloods Season 14 will be the farewell of CBS’s beloved police series, and thanks to its finale being announced in advance, the show can do it properly. This means giving the audience one final glimpse of the fan favorite characters, and for Blue Bloods, this list starts and ends with one name: Jackie Curatola.

Jackie Curatola Returns In Blue Bloods S14
The next and final season of Blue Bloods will seemingly seek to feature the show’s most popular recurring characters and former stars for a proper sendoff. For now, we can only be sure of one person’s return: Jennifer Esposito, the Jackie Curatola actress, will reprise her role and make an appearance in Season 14 Episode 2.
In that episode, Jackie will once again join forces with Danny Reagan and Maria Baez for their old joint case. The serial killer they missed the last time will strike again, requiring the unlikely trio of Danny and the two women the entire fan community has been shipping him with for ages to pick up that case once again.
What Does Jackie’s Return Mean For Her And Danny?
Before Esposito left Blue Bloods, her Jackie Curatola was seen as the perfect match for Danny Reagan, her partner. The fans’ dreams of seeing the two get together were shattered with Jackie’s leave, and soon, Maria Baez became Danny’s new partner — and his new prospective sweetheart, according to most fans.
Despite that, some Blue Bloods OGs never stepped away from their vision of Danny and Jackie together. Detective Curatola’s previous guest-star appearance in Season 13 gave them hope which was swiftly taken away after Danny’s confession to Baez.
There’s no reason to believe that will change in the final season, either. Even if the show decides to match Danny with someone at the end (which fans deem extra), it’s more likely to be Maria Baez; Jackie will likely only be there for one episode to conclude the serial killer subplot — and, perhaps, bless Danny and Maria’s union.
