Cobra Kai Season 6 Wraps Filming On Final Episodes

Filming has wrapped on Cobra Kai season 6, with co-creator Josh Heald sharing a heartfelt message. Beginning as a YouTube scripted series and then moving to Netflix, where it became an Emmy-nominated success for the streamer, Cobra Kai follows the original Karate Kid characters Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) while introducing a host of new faces and bringing back several franchise veterans. The upcoming sixth and final installment is only months away from debuting, and it’s prompted reflections from the show’s creative team as the end approaches.

Heald, who created the Karate Kid spinoff with Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, confirmed that filming has wrapped on Cobra Kai season 6.

On X (formerly Twitter), Heald gave a special shoutout to Atlanta, which is where the show films. He wrote, in part: “Thank you to the people of this incredible city for being the heart and soul of these six special seasons.”

What’s Cobra Kai Season 6 About?

Cobra Kai season 6 is confirmed to pick up with the titular dojo eliminated. In the aftermath of this, the senseis and students must decide whether they want to compete in the Sekai Taikai — the world championships of karate. Although the international tournament has long been looming over the Netflix show, Cobra Kai season 6 also has a major cliffhanger to address involving Kreese and his escape from prison.

In terms of who among the Cobra Kai cast will return, Macchio and Zabka will be back. Martin Kove, Xolo Maridueña, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Peyton List, Gianni DeCenzo, Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio, Dallas Dupree Young, Yuji Okumoto, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Griffin Santopietro, and Oona O’Brien will all also be reprising their roles for the dojo dramedy’s final episodes.
