‘9-1-1’: Season 8’s Bee-Nado Conclusion Episode Traps More Than 10M Cross Platform Viewers In 7 Days

The series wrapped up its three-episode “bee-nado” premiere storyline earlier and, after seven days of cross-platform viewing, the third episode is up to 10.42M total viewers. That’s 89% higher than the live + same-day audience of 5.52M.

The episode has also achieved a 2.01 rating among adults 18-49, marking an impressive 294% increase over L+SD.

This is the best multi-platform delivery the series has managed in terms of total viewers since last season kicked off with the “Poseidon’s Adventure” storyline in March. Granted, that’s very long, and it’s typical for a series to see a spike in viewership at the beginning of a new season. The real tell will be how 9-1-1 sustains this audience moving forward.

Ryan Murphy has been on a bit of a roll lately, and 9-1-1 is no exception. The premiere episode was approaching 10M viewers in its seven-day window, though it didn’t manage to cross that threshold. However, it was up 106% from the same-day audience, which indicates that more people were tuning in same-day by episode three than they were for the premiere.

As Deadline previously reported, Disney says the premiere of Murphy’s other ABC series Doctor Odyssey had nearly 14M cross-platform viewers within its first week, after coming out of the gate as the network’s most-watched drama debut in five years.
