9-1-1’s Bobby and Athena Are on a Honeymoon from Hell as Cruise Ship Capsizes in Season 7 Trailer
Athena (Angela Bassett) has a right to be “terrified” after her honeymoon with Bobby (Peter Krause) takes a disastrous turn in PEOPLE’s exclusive debut of the season 7 trailer
Some couples love it when they’re cruisin’ together — but 9-1-1’s Bobby Nash (Peter Krause) and Athena Grant (Angela Bassett) are not some couples.
When the hit show arrives on ABC on March 14, the couple is on a cruise, one it’s clear from the exclusive trailer above, debuting exclusively with PEOPLE, that Athena isn’t too excited about.
“Last week, my husband, he booked us on a cruise. It’s kind of a belated honeymoon,” Athena tells her therapist. “I’m terrified.”
The therapist responds: “I’m sure you’ll be fine.”
He shouldn’t have been so confident. This is 9-1-1, after all.
In the clip, everything goes awry. Passengers are forced to “stay down” and the ship begins to capsize.
Meanwhile, the 118 is on land and trying to track the couple down. “I’m looking for Captain Nash and his wife but I can’t find their cruise ship,” Henrietta Wilson (Aisha Hinds) says.
They board helicopters and one of the pilots declares, “We’re flying into a hurricane!”
The homage to The Poseidon Adventure will be “a big, exciting arc that goes for about three episodes,” showrunner Tim Minear said during a set visit as part of the Television Critics Association winter press tour, per TVLine.
The honeymoon from hell won’t be the only action in the season premiere. According to the official logline for the episode, a fighter jet also “traps a civilian,” and an “unusual” incident forces a couple together.
The series also stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kenneth Choi, Oliver Stark and Ryan Guzman.
