What are Lottie’s visions on Yellowjackets all about? Everything we know, explored
Lottie’s visions are an integral part of Showtime’s thriller series Yellowjackets, due to return with its third season in February 2025. On the show, as part of a teenage soccer team, she was left stranded in the wilds after a plane crash in 1996. It was soon revealed that Lottie Matthews, played by Simone Kessell, experienced visions.
At first, the visions were considered an outcome of Lottie not taking her medication. Soon, the visions turned sinister and Lottie started foreshadowing future events. Suddenly, she assumed a prophetic role within the stranded group.
The visions had ended after a point but Lottie started experiencing these again in the timeline of Yellowjackets Season 2, highlighting that though she had survived the crash, the visions would keep returning.

Lottie’s premonition starts as the girls enter the cabin in the wilds soon after the crash. “Bad things happened here,” she says. Her first vision comes when the girls jokingly plan a seance to turn the situation around.
While the seance goes on, Lottie seems possessed and speaks rapidly in French and English. She had taken French lessons at school but it was one of her weaker subjects.
The episode in Yellowjackets showed us how, during the vision, Lottie tells Shauna, “It’s already in you” and “You must spill blood. Or else.” The warning could have foreshadowed Shauna’s pregnancy, while the ‘blood’ refers to human sacrifice, or a forthcoming act of cannibalism.
Lottie’s gratitude cards and Antler Queen Visions are related to the Wilderness in Yellowjackets

Another significant vision that Lottie experiences as an adult is directly related to the Wilderness and the Antler Queen. When she goes through the gratitude cards in her office, she sees the Queen of Hearts with her eyes scratched out. She shakes off the feeling, but the card comes up again.
The card suggests one of adult Tarvis’ theories that the Wilderness doesn’t spare anyone, and it will return for the survivors to demand a blood sacrifice from them. The scratched-out eyes could signify it is yet to be decided who would lead the hunt for the Wilderness.
In another of Lottie’s visions, her physician turns into the Antler Queen and says, “Does a hunt that has no violence feed anyone?” The vision proves the Wilderness is an evil identity and is after her.
Lottie’s visions about Laura Lee in both the timelines of Yellowjackets
Laura Lee was an intelligent girl who lost her life when the plane exploded even as she was trying to find a way to rescue the girls. In the past, after Lottie had her first vision, Laura had decided to baptize the former. Lottie would have am underwater vision foreshadowing Laura’s death.
In that vision, Lottie saw a stag going to an altar lit with candles, which turned brighter as she neared it. The stag is a Christian symbol of power, and Lottie signified power for the group back then. The candle fire foreshadowed Laura’s death as Lottie saw a glowing halo behind her when she woke up. Soon, Laura died after the mid-air explosion.
Years later, the adult Lottie would have a vision of a dead and decomposing Laura when she tries challenging the Wilderness with Travis. This present-day vision could mean that Lottie is yet to get over Laura’s death and feels guilty because she did not warn or try to save her.
