Blue Bloods’ Donnie Wahlberg hints at Danny and Beaz romance ahead of season 14 premiere
CBS viewers may finally see romantic sparks fly between Danny and Beaz in Blue Bloods’ upcoming 14th season.
The drama follows the Reagan family as each member takes on different roles in law enforcement before re-grouping for their weekly Sunday dinner together.
On Friday, fans saw Detective Danny Reagan (played by Donnie Wahlberg) and his partner Det. Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) become immeasurably closer.
When Baez’s life was threatened, Danny used all his resources to ensure her wellbeing and became extremely protective of her.
As a result, viewers made calls for the duo to take their friendship to the next level and become romantically involved.
Thankfully for fans, it looks as though the friends could finally take things further after actor Donnie Wahlberg dropped a major tease.
A viewer @BrandyLamberth took to Twitter with a photo of the detectives dancing hand in hand at the precinct and wrote: “Danny and Maria need to be doing this in “their” kitchen…come on #BlueBloods make it happen…please.”
Wahlberg spotted the tweet and cryptically responded: “Deal,” with a blue and red heart emoji.
Don’t miss…

Since Baez was introduced in season three and assigned to Danny, fans have longed for their partnership to be more than platonic.
At the time, it was revealed the pair had already been friends for over 10 years before working together.
Baez is also one of the few friends to be invited to the usually Reagan-only family dinner.
The longing for a Danny and Baez romance was fuelled after the detective revealed he was ready to date again following the season eight death of his wife, Linda Reagan (Amy Carlson).
As season 13 is coming to an end this month, it’s likely any romances between the pair will take place in the recently confirmed season 14.
The storyline will be a major overturn from showrunner Kevin Wade’s previous rebuttal.
In 2021 he shut down rumours and told TV Insider: “We recognize it and certainly the actors like each other, in front of the camera and between setups.
“I’m gonna use Sam and Diane from Cheers and really age myself here, but once it happens, there’s nowhere to go.
“There really aren’t stories in happy couples and there are definitely not stories in police detectives on the job having a personal relationship with their partner,” Kevin added.
