True fans continue to watch the beloved show, even if something is missing.
Blue Bloods just recently finished its season 13, but instead of leaving fans excited about the upcoming season 14, the creators announced that there will be major budget cuts and some of the cast will not be returning to the show after the hiatus.
Being the successful CBS police procedural drama, the show actually has a huge fan base. And it seems like they don’t want to lose any of the beloved characters whether for budget cuts or any other reason.
Fans on Reddit already started speculating about who is more likely to depart from the show in the upcoming season.
“After watching the finale, I believe Erin’s storyline with running for DA was cut due to the budget issues. If she had run, they would have had to pay the actress who plays the DA now to appear in several episodes next season. By having Erin not run, they can cut the DA character and save money,” Redditor gprimr1 said.
Losing Erin seems to be a big deal for the fans. A lot of them shared their opinions about this fact and all in one voice said that they felt sad.
But there is another popular thought about Erin’s future. The fans noted that the story of her becoming or not becoming the DA has been teasing the fans for a long time.
However, they gave her the least possible character development, still giving the fans hope that one day she will grow up enough to be a prosecutor.
So frankly, it doesn’t really matter if Erin’s possible departure from season 14 is a budget cut or just the end of the story that couldn’t be developed any further.
