Cobra Kai co-creator Jon Hurwitz shares his response to an e-mail from Netflix, bringing it back to the delay of the show’s final episodes. With the confirmation that Cobra Kai would end with season 6, many of the dojo drama’s long-time viewers were eager to find out how the story will conclude. That’s especially true since the season 5 finale ended in an unusual spot that saw most of the protagonists fighting on the same side and becoming friendly. But with the WGA strike for fair wages, Cobra Kai season 6 writers’ room has shut down like most other productions until the issue is resolved.
Hurwitz, who created the Netflix show with Josh Heald and Hayden Schlossberg, mentioned the Cobra Kai season 6 delay in a recent Twitter post.
I haven’t forgotten! The moment SAG and the WGA get fair deals, we’ll get right back to work on that! #WritersGuildStrike #SAGAFTRAstrike pic.twitter.com/yaEFnnyO1q

In the social media post, Hurwitz shares a screenshot. It shows that he received an e-mail that reads: “Don’t forget to finish Cobra Kai” alongside a graphic for the series which features the cast. In response, Hurwitz writes: “I haven’t forgotten! The moment SAG and the WGA get fair deals, we’ll get right back to work on that! #WritersGuildStrike #SAGAFTRAstrike.”
