Teen Wolf

LeBron James asks important question about ‘Teen Wolf’

“And why/how is ole buddy standing under the rim at the end to win the game with free throws.”

The 1980s classic comedy Teen Wolf begs a lot of questions once you start thinking about it.

NBA superstar LeBron James isn’t above asking those questions.

The film, which stars Michael J. Fox, is about a high school boy who finds out he can transform into a wolfman. He uses those powers to become a superstar basketball player for his high school, eventually leading them to the championship where he relies on his human abilities to help them secure the title.

James is spending his offseason relaxing and he decided to give the 80s movie a watch. Like so many people, he was left with more questions than answers. Specifically, he had some thoughts about the way the final basketball play of the movie happened.

“Sitting here watching Teen Wolf (1985),” wrote James. “The last basketball scene when he didn’t go back to the wolf is the funniest basketball I’ve ever seen!!! And why/how is ole buddy standing under the rim at the end to win the game with free throws.”

LeBron is referencing the moment when, for inexplicable reasons, the bad guy on the opposing team stands under the basket and stars Fox down while he attempts his game-winning free throws. How was that legal? There’s no way a player would actually be allowed to do that.

Hey, it was the 80s. People just did a lot of weird stuff back then.
