Michael Sheen teases Good Omens season 3 plot with Aziraphale in disguise

And he’s wearing a real-life historical artefact.

Michael Sheen has teased Good Omens’ season 3 plot, revealing that his character Aziraphale will be in disguise.

The series is due to wrap with a standalone 90-minute episode, and Sheen has now opened up a bit about what to expect as filming concludes, revealing he will be donning a real-life historical artefact in one scene.

“A couple of months ago, I went online and went on this auction,” he recalled on the Scarred for Life podcast, confirming he is “now the owner” of the nose that Laurence Olivier wore in 1955’s Richard III.

“That thing that haunted me from being a child, I now have it, and not only that, I have worn it in something.

“There was a bit in the last part of Good Omens that I’ve just finished filming, where my character has to be in disguise and I wear Olivier’s nose from Richard III.”

This isn’t the first time Sheen has teased season 3, the star saying last August that he was “very excited about it”.

“One of the extraordinary things about being a part of [Good Omens] is the audience, the fans, the fandom of it. You have to take it very seriously because people get really affected by it,” he told TV Insider.

“And seeing how people reacted to the end of season 2 was extraordinary. So yeah, I hope, and I’m sure, that season 3 will be a satisfying experience for everyone.”

Good Omens’ third season was confirmed to be repurposed into a one-off special in November, which came after creator Neil Gaiman stepped away from the show amid allegations of sexual misconduct, while more accusations have since emerged. Gaiman has denied the claims.
