Season eight marks the final series of Outlander
The creative minds behind Outlander have made a startling revelation about the series finale to the epic Starz historical fantasy drama.
In a recent interview, Outlander’s showrunner Matthew B. Roberts said: “We filmed multiple endings. It was important that it not get out what we were doing.
“We were very careful. I knew it would be very emotional. I would say, probably four that went out into the world.”
Outlander isn’t the first show conscious to avoid leaks with the likes of Sex and the City and more recently The White Lotus doing this to prevent any potential spoilers.
It was thought that Game of Thrones had also done this but Arya Stark actress Maisie Williams previously seemed to debunk this with the show subject to many leaks and accidental spoilers.

Davis told Indiewire: “Emotional, heartbreak, tears,” while Roberts simply said “satisfying”.
Fans are hoping to get an answer to the mystery of Jamie Fraser’s (played by Sam Heughan) ghost, which has been an enigma since the series premiere when he was seen watching Claire (Caitríona Balfe) in 1940s Inverness.
The creatives went on to address the big season seven twist confirming Fatih Fraser was still alive.
They admitted it wasn’t only the fans who were left shocked by the huge twist, “everyone in the cast” was left gobsmacked by the revelation.

However, they promised all would be revealed in season eight with the loose ends finally tied up.
Outlander author Diana Gabaldon has previously said the show will be running on an alternative timeline in which Master Raymond (Dominique Pinon) smuggled Faith to another time and revived her.
Just how the series will explain this remains to be seen but one thing is clear, the TV series has now diverged from the source material and the ending of Gabaldon’s final Outlander novel A Blessing For A Warrior Going Out will be very different.
Both the drama and the books will be offering up different explanations of Jamie’s ghosts to delight viewers and readers alike.

Ahead of season eight, which doesn’t yet have a premiere date, fans can get their teeth stuck into prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood.
The sweeping period drama will focus on the parents of Jamie and Claire Fraser as Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) fell in love in 17th century Scotland, while Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) had a sweet wartime romance in World War One.
Starz recently shared a video from the four central leads of Blood of My Blood, teasing there would be plenty of theories to be discussed after the first episode.
In the short clip posted to the Outlander Reddit page, actor Roy said: “Hello Outlander subreddit, we just wanted to stop by and thank you all for the early coverage of Blood of My Blood.
“I’m speaking on behalf of all of us, we just really can’t wait to read your reactions to our premiere on August 8th on Starz.
“We have a sneaky feeling that you all might have some theories to talk about after that episode.”
