The Handmaid’s Tale Lamest S6 Prediction Is Also the Most Requested
Can’t we hope for a cheesy ending?
The fans of dystopian series don’t have a particular answer on why they actually like them. Maybe it’s something about the fact that the story will never happen in their real life, but they still have a chance to witness how another reality might have worked out.
Well, for us – it’s something like that, plus the indescribable feeling that these gripping shows give us. You become glued to your silver screens even when you actually hate to see whatever is going on on it.
That is just the case for many viewers of The Handmaid’s Tale series. Almost every scene in this show is violent and reminds us to appreciate the reality we live in, because in theory, the times we live in could have been much more.
Based on Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name, the story in The Handmaid’s Tale unfolds in the totalitarian society called Gilead, where the rules are basically religious and the country is ruled by so-called Commanders and their wives. And the handmaids are basically fertile sex-slaves who are kept in the to be raped and bear children.
Over the course of five seasons, we have seen many things happen in the series. June, the main character of the show, has been through a lot of trauma and drama, starting with when she was separated from her husband and her child, finding new love, only to lose him, bearing another little girl and being forced to give her away.
That’s just a little part of whatever happened to June. So the fans are wondering now, what else is there for her in the upcoming season 6?
The cheesiest and basically the easiest way to end the show is to give it a happy end. Many fans think that she has been tortured enough and that the finale that they would have hated in any other series. suits perfectly here.
“Luke is killed by angry Canadians. Nick escapes to wherever June is at (IMO New Bethlehem) and they end up together with Nichole and Hannah,” Redditor mdostine said.
Of course Luke being killed is not the kindest way to let him go, but it seems like the happy end for June and Nick is only possible in a universe where there’s no Luke.
While waiting for The Handmaid’s Tale season 6, you can binge the whole show on Hulu and maybe come up with a better farewell.
