Tommy Egan Wages War In New ‘Power Book IV: Force’ Sneak Peek
Watch this exclusive clip from the season two premiere of ‘Force,’ airing Friday (Sept. 1).
The Power universe has fans anticipating what’s to come in the long-awaited second season of Power Book IV: Force.
Ahead of its premiere, VIBE is sharing an exclusive sneak peek (above) from the new season’s first episode titled “Tommy’s Back.” In the clip, Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora), his new second-in-command, Diamond (Isaac Keys), and their crew face off against The Serbian mafia—led by Rodovan Mirkovic (Konstantin Lavysh)—to claim “their” territory.
Mirkovic is seen telling Tommy and Diamond that the blocks in question belong to him as promised by Jenard (Kris D. Lofton) in last season’s final episodes. However, Egan clarifies, “It wasn’t his to give.” After being asked to vacate the premises, our beloved bad boy doubles down on what he said and his crew zones in closer.
“Ain’t nobody goin’ nowhere. This our block. These are our corners,” he says. “You comin’ for us? We ready for you.”
Egan, then, reveals that this particular confrontation with Mirkovic is more personal. “And you owe me, motherf**ker! How much I paid you for protection and almost got my head taken off?! I wanna do this to you. I been wantin’ to do this to you. We keepin’ what’s ours and [if] you got a problem with that, you talk to Jenard.” Before leaving, Mirkovic declares, “This isn’t over.” Thus, the war begins.
When the mobster first came to Chicago, Mirkovic arrived with the intention to kill Egan in retaliation for the latter killing Tatiana, Milan, Jason, and the other Serbians in the original Power. The men briefly joined forces in a war against the Flynns, and Egan was allowed to avenge Gloria’s death. However, Jenard proposed that Mirkovic end his alliance with Egan, so Walter Flynn can end his war with the Serbs after his son Vic’s brush with death.
Will Tommy Egan win this race to be Chicago’s kingpin? We’ll have to wait and see.
