“We Definitely Have A Lot Of Nolan, Bailey, & Celina Scenes”: Jenna Dewan Teases The Future Between The Three Characters

The Rookie star Jenna Dewan has teased the future between Bailey, Nolan, and Celina, explaining what to expect in their upcoming scenes. The Rookie season 7 has featured plenty of important stories for all three characters. This includes Bailey (Dewan) and Nolan (Nathan Fillion) making up after the former helped a hitman kill her ex-husband, and Celina (Lisseth Chavez) coming off probation, returning as the protagonist’s rookie. The friendship between Bailey and Celina also hasn’t wavered since her introduction, hinting that more scenes between them and the main character will be happening soon.

Speaking with ScreenRant, Dewan teased future scenes between Bailey, Nolan, and Celina in The Rookie season 7. The actor explained the sister-like connection between her and Chavez’s characters, teasing fun scenes between the that Fillion will also be involved with. She doesn’t reveal much, but does tease more of Celina rubbing off on Bailey as new interactions between the pair are shown. Check out what Dewan had to say below:

I feel like Celina [is] like my little sister or daughter in a sense. We love her so much, and we definitely have a lot of Nolan/Bailey/Celina scenes in the house and stuff that happen [that are] really fun, because there is a good shorthand. I think she really gets me and has my back and I always have her back, and I’m kind of teasing Nolan a lot about that. It’s like, “Well, you know, Celina’s right,” and then the two of us [have] our spiritual, woo-woo kind of senses, she’s rubbing off of me in that way, and he’s always rolling his eyes. It’s cute. It’s been fun. I love Celina. I think that that character is so fun. We just love Liz so much, so every time she’s in scenes with us, we get really excited.

What Dewan’s Statement Means For Bailey, Nolan, and Celina’s Future

Bailey’s romance with Nolan and friendship with Celina lead her to interact with the two of them the most out of any other characters in The Rookie. While season 7, episode 7, saw her and Nolan almost leave each other after she helped a hitman kill Jason (Steve Kazee), the couple’s resilience proved more important to them than the legal ramifications. As for Celina, her return to Nolan’s side resulted in a dangerous altercation with two criminals, something that could have ended badly under different circumstances.

Thankfully, the trio managed to get through the latest episode in one piece, with Dewan’s statement teasing much more for them as season 7 progresses. Given the depth of their connections to one another, it makes sense that more interactions, especially between Bailey and Celina, are on the docket. Since the drama involving what happened in The Rookie season 7, episode 5 has seemingly come to a close, it’s only a matter of time before the show starts focusing on more positive interactions between the trio.
