Why Robby Should Win Cobra Kai Season 6’s Sekai Taikai
After reaching the All-Valley finals twice and arguably losing due to unfair disadvantages, Robby deserves to win Cobra Kai Sseason 6’s Sekai Taikai.
After everything Robby has been through in the first five Cobra Kai seasons, he deserves to win season 6’s Sekai Taikai tournament more than anyone else. In Cobra Kai season 5’s opening arc, Robby finally learns to forgive his father for his past mistakes and makes some great memories with him in Mexico while finding Miguel. Although it takes him some time to forget everything that happened before and after Cobra Kai season 2’s climatic school fight, he eventually buries his beef with Miguel as well and expresses his remorse for harming him.
With what follows, Robby gets the redemption he deserves, as his relationship with his father only gets better with time, and his newfound friendship with Miguel also grows from strength to strength. After joining Daniel, Johnny, and Chozen’s dojo, Robby also realizes that Daniel has been right along about Silver’s motives and uses his new karate vision to steer Kenny in the right direction. In Cobra Kai season 5, almost everything falls into place for Robby, but one aspect of his journey remains unresolved: he has no Karate tournament wins under his belt.
Robby Deserves To Win In Cobra Kai S6 After Losing Both All-Valley Finals
Despite being banned from Daniel’s dojo and betrayed by Johnny, Robby entered the All-Valley tournament in Cobra Kai season 1. He defied all odds against him and even made it to the tournament’s semi-finals without a Sensei guiding him. After dislocating his shoulder during his match against Hawk in the semi-finals, Robby still managed to give Miguel some tough competition in the finals. Unfortunately for him, even though he had it in him to defeat Miguel, his core motive for fighting was driven by his anger towards his father, which eventually led to his season 1 All-Valley loss.
In Cobra Kai season 4, Robby got to avenge his season 1 loss when he faced Hawk in the All-Valley finals. However, his motives were again in the wrong place, as he was fighting begrudgingly to prove a point to his father. Kenny’s transformation, too, after joining Kreese’s dojo, made him realize that most of Cobra Kai’s teachings were toxic. Distracted by the guilt of introducing Kenny to Silver’s immoral methods, Robby let his guard down and lost the All-Valley finals again. Considering how Robby was always capable of winning the tournaments and only lacked the right mindset and guidance, it makes perfect sense for him to win Sekai Taikai in Cobra Kai season 6.
Robby Best Represents Both Main Cobra Kai Dojos
While most of Cobra Kai’s new generation primary characters have experienced training and fighting with both Cobra Kai’s “no mercy” philosophy and Miyagi Do’s peaceful Okinawan style, Robby seems far more balanced than anyone else since he has experienced the best and worst of both sides. His training tenure with Daniel LaRusso made him realize that he is a natural fighter and can execute complex moves like Mr. Miyagi’s double-leg handstand kick just by hearing their description, but his skills mean nothing if his mind is not at peace.
Robby’s season 4 arc in Sensei John Kreese and Terry Silver’s Cobra Kai dojo makes him push his anger and attacking skills to the limit, which ultimately helps him learn that feeding his rage will only blind him to the things that truly matter. With valuable lessons from both dojos at his disposal, Robby becomes, as Mr. Miyagi would say, a bonsai tree whose roots rest in the strong foundations of Miyagi’s wisdom, but who has still grown its stems in its own unique way. Therefore, since Robby is a well-rounded hybrid fighter who best represents both dojos, he deserves to be the winner of Cobra Kai season 6’s Sekai Taikai more than anyone else.
