Coronation Street star teases Daisy Midgeley and Ryan Connor will ‘rekindle’ romance
Coronation Street’s Daisy Midgeley and Ryan Connor have been getting close again after having to testify during Justin Rutherford’s trial.
Daisy Midgeley (played by Charlotte Jordan) and Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) leaned on one another as Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still) was finally sent to prison for his acid attack.
Last week the pair also shared a kiss, which left Ryan confused and wondering what Daisy was thinking.
The kiss has been kept a secret from Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) but official Coronation Street spoilers reveal that the pair’s relationship could go one of two ways.
Ryan recently found out that he had been catfished and someone was pretending to be his recent fling Crystal, who he thought was doing well in Ibiza.
However, after checking her social media found out she was actually in a coma before receiving a text from “Crystal” claiming she was well.
Ryan’s positive attitude toward his recovery began to deflate once again, asking why someone would do that to him, especially after his long recovery in the hospital.
In upcoming scenes, Carla Connor (Alison King) orders Ryan to stop moping about and feeling sorry for himself, ordering him to get dressed and meet her for lunch.
She also tells Daniel how Ryan hasn’t left the flat for a week as he’s been so upset over the catfishing.
Knowing who is behind the cruel torment, Daniel urges Daisy to pay Ryan a visit to cheer him up.
When visiting, Daisy masks her guilt over the fact she knows she is the one who is causing Ryan’s upset by carrying on the facade.
Will Daisy come clean about her actions or will she carry on the lie in order to keep her friendship with Ryan?
Daniel actor Rob Mallard recently opened up about Daisy and Ryan’s relationship and admitted there is a chance the pair could rekindle and leave Daniel heartbroken.
He explained: “Daniel understands that Daisy and Ryan have a connection to each other that he will never be a part of because they both survived something horrific together and that bonds people.
“But because Daisy and Ryan used to date each other very briefly, there is something in the back of Daniel’s mind.
“[It] makes him think, ‘There is always a chance that this may make them rekindle something between them’.”
Will Ryan and Daisy get past their history and shared trauma to give their relationship another go? Or is Daisy just having feelings for Ryan after feeling responsible for his injuries?
