Power star Jerry Ferrara wishes his character didn’t die
“Wish I could have stayed around.”
Power star Jerry Ferrara has revealed his regret at his character being killed off in the crime drama series.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter) the actor shared a photo of himself with Cliff ‘Method Man’ Smith, who currently stars on Power spin-off Ghost, lamenting that his character wasn’t around long enough to appear on screen with the rapper and actor.
“Wish I could have stayed around long enough to work with @methodman in the #Power universe,” he wrote, adding: “He’s crushing it.”
Ferrara starred in the Starz crime show as Joe Proctor, the wealthy criminal attorney who frequently worked alongside Ghost and Tommy Egan (played by Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora respectively).
Joe first appeared as a supporting character in season two before later being promoted to part of the main cast. He was ultimately killed in the final season after being shot by Tommy, issuing a warning to the drug dealer with his last words.
The character later appeared in the spin-off Ghost during a dream sequence for Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr).
Meanwhile, Method Man currently stars as Davis MacLean, a criminal defence lawyer who had worked for characters such as Tariq.
Ferrara isn’t the only person regretting the fact that Joe and Davis wouldn’t ever cross paths either, with several Power fans expressing their desire for a hypothetical storyline featuring the two characters in the replies.
“That duo would have been epic in the Power universe,” one person wrote, while another added: “A Proctor/Davis Legal Team would’ve gotten some of the most notorious criminals free.”
Season three of Ghost premiered in March 2023, with a fourth season also confirmed by the network.
