‘BMF’ Season 3 Premiere Date Announced In New Teaser
The Flenory Family has reinvented themselves as the saga continues.
BMF will officially return to the small screen. Wednesday (Aug. 30,) STARZ announced the crime drama is set to premiere its anticipated third season on the network March 1, 2024. The news comes with a teaser featuring BMF and additional upcoming returning fan-favorite series’.
The third installment finds the Flenory family attempting to reinvent themselves as the saga continues. Set in the early 1990s, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory (Demetrius Flenory, Jr.) has moved to Atlanta on a mission to build up the BMF empire in the south.
He and his brother, Terry “Southwest T” Flenory (Da’Vinchi), established one of the most infamous crime families in the country, known as Black Mafia Family, a true story on which the series is based. According to a press release, BMF continues to humanize the choices of the brothers, their business, and their pursuit of their version of the American Dream.
Earlier this year, creator 50 Cent shared his goal to expand the BMF fictional universe in a similar fashion to Power, promising three spinoffs to the Detroit tale.
“They got some really, really smart executives coming in to help rebuild Starz in the right way. And it’s exciting for me,” the 47-year-old revealed in January. “You’ll get a chance to see three spinoff shows from BMF. It’s BMF immortal.”
BMF stars the aforementioned leads, as well as Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Myles Truitt, Steve Harris, Michole Briana White, La La Anthony, Kelly Hu, and Russell Hornsby. The series is executive produced by 50 Cent via G-Unit Film and Television, alongside showrunner Randy Huggins and interim showrunner and executive producer Heather Zuhlke. Anthony Wilson and Anne Clements also serve as executive producers on the series.
