‘Cobra Kai’ Fans Are Beyond Excited Over Ralph Macchio’s Personal News on Twitter

Cobra Kai fans, Ralph Macchio is back in the dojo … just not in the way people necessarily expect.

The Karate Kid star recently took to Instagram to update his followers about an ongoing situation with one of his social media profiles. Ralph detailed how his Twitter account got hacked earlier this year, leading him to try and regain access to it. After taking some time to work through it, he revealed he’s fully back online and ready to start tweeting once again.

“After almost 3 weeks of red-tape and account hacking, my Twitter page @ralphmacchio has now been restored!” he wrote on April 28. “It wasn’t easy but I am back at the wheel. Thanks for your patience and looking forward to seeing you over there when you visit!!”

Instagram wasn’t the only place the actor confirmed the news. He made sure to post about it on Twitter, further confirming that folks were actually interacting with the actor and not an impostor on the platform.

Because Twitter recently took away the blue check mark from legacy verified users, fans were thrilled to learn the Waxing On: The Karate Kid and Me author was back to controlling his own pages. This led them to voice their excitement with him in the comments.

“I always knew your cousin Vinny was a great attorney! 😂,” one person joked on Instagram, referencing his work in My Cousin Vinny. “Good to hear. There’s no room for hackers in this dojo!” a different user exclaimed. “Hacks on … hacks off,” another follower quipped.

Despite the slight social media snag, Ralph still has a lot to celebrate. He made the New York Times best-seller list in November 2022, and he will hopefully start production soon on Cobra Kai season 6.

It’s also important to note Ralph isn’t the only celebrity experiencing fears and issues over on Twitter. Shortly before the platform rolled out changes with check marks, Criminal Minds star Paget Brewster voiced her anxiety over folks interacting with someone pretending to be her with a fake profile.

Well, if this entire snafu proves anything, it’s that Mr. Miyagi taught him well about peacefully defending his honor.
