Downton Abbey star Amy Nuttall ‘kicks husband Andrew Buchanan out of home’ after split

Downton Abbey star Amy Nuttall has reportedly split from her actor husband Andrew Buchan for the second time and “kicked him out of the family home”.

A source told The Sun that the actress, 41, is “gutted” but knows “this is it”.

Nuttall had reportedly given Buchan, 44, seven strict rules to stick by to save their 11-year marriage, which he failed to abide by.

“There is no suggestion he has cheated again, but as far as she is concerned this is it,” the insider told the publication.

“She is obviously gutted but also accepts that their time together has come to an end.”

The source added that Nuttall had wanted to “give the marriage another chance”.

The Sun reported earlier this year that Nuttall gave him another chance after he had an alleged ‘affair’ with his BBC Better co-star Leila Farzad.

One rule she reportedly gave him was to have no contact with Farzad, but she allegedly found lingerie before Christmas that wasn’t hers or her size.

The rules reportedly were to always check in via FaceTime, allow each other access to their mobile phones, no contact with Farzad, an equal footing for work and to take on the 7-7-7 approach to their relationship.

The 7-7-7 approach is every seven days have a date, every seven weeks a night away together, and a holiday every seven months.

It was widely reported earlier this year that Buchan allegedly left his wife for Farzad, but she eventually accepted him back.

At the time, Buchan had reportedly moved out of the marital home and was supposedly living with his Better co-star.

A source told The Sun at the time: “It’s been very hard for Amy. She’s been crying virtually every day since it happened and she’s struggling to cope with things.”

“She can’t even bring herself to talk about it as she’s still trying to make sense of it all.”

Nuttall is known for playing Ethel Parks on Downton Abbey and Chloe Atkinson in Emmerdale.

Nuttall, who previously dated Emmerdale co-star Ben Freeman for four years, married Buchan in September 2012 and they share two children together.

Farzad married husband James Maizels in 2013. It is not known if the pair have now gone their separate ways.
