Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) are brought back together by an unlikely source in Coronation Street next week.
The couple have had a bumpy ride over the last few weeks, as Bethany has dealt with the ordeal of her botched cosmetic procedure.
Last month, the aspiring journalist jetted off to Turkey on a copywriting job for a new cosmetics clinic and decided to get liposuction while she was there.
However, the op was botched and left her fighting for her life with sepsis, as well as being fitted with a permanent stoma.
To make matters worse, her insurance refused to pay out for her medical care as she had not declared the procedure, leaving her family scrambling to find £25,000 to pay the bill so she could return home.
Following a traumatic period, on Friday Bethany told boyfriend Daniel he’d be better off with ex-girlfriend Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan). While he assured her that he loves her and not Daisy, Bethany ordered him to leave.
In scenes to air next week, Daniel explains to Bethany’s mum Sarah Platt that she has got it into her head that he won’t want to be with her now she has a stoma bag.
When Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) tells Daisy that Bethany has dumped Daniel, Daisy heads off to the hospital determined to set her straight.
Will she listen to her former love rival?
