Although there is no information on when Wednesday season 2 will be released, there is already a lot of discussion about it on the web. With the show getting so many Emmy nominations and a whole new level of recognition, it’s no wonder people are so excited to see more of it.
The cast is no less excited to see what’s next than the fans. In fact, each of them has their own theories and thoughts about what Wednesday season 2 may hold for both their characters specifically and the storyline in general. One big question is: Will there be any newcomers to join them?
Jenna Ortega, as well as Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, and Hunter Doohan shared their thoughts on this in the video for Netflix’s Tudum: A Global Fan Event.
The idea of someone from the Addams Family being brought in for season 2 was introduced as a theory but was quickly revealed to be true by the cast. What’s even more interesting is that they still don’t really know who it will be, but they have their own ideas.
Jenna Ortega, for example, thinks that the character who should appear is Cousin Itt. If you have trouble remembering his name, you would certainly remember his appearance with nothing but a giant hairpiece in a hat.
While it’s easy to imagine how gorgeous Cousin Itt would end up looking on the show, it’s a huge challenge for the hair and makeup (but mostly hair) department.
Another character suggested by both Sunday and Doohan is Grandmama. Maybe Wednesday would be the show that finally explains the character’s origin story, or it could just make more fun of the fact that we don’t really know whose mother she is.
Either way, the character, as eccentric as she is, would fit right into the show.
Of course, there are other members of the Addams family who have yet to make an appearance, such as Baby Pubert Addams, but the chances of them appearing seem very slim and much less exciting.
