NBC lets Chicago Fire, Med and PD fans down with 2026 One Chicago crossover art

NBC has released an offical poster for the One Chicago crossover, but the poster is more of a disappointment than a reason for celebration.

It’s an exciting time for One Chicago fans. Yes, the shows have been on a break for the last few weeks and we’ve got another week in the break ahead, but the One Chicago crossover event is waiting for us on the other side of this break! Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD are set to come together for the latest One Chicago three-show crossover event on March 4, and NBC has big plans in place for the episode.

The One Chicago crossover event is always a highlight of the season, but this year’s crossover has a heightened excitement as it will mark the return of two beloved One Chicago alums.

In addition to featuring the current casts of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD, the 2026 One Chicago crossover will welcome back former Chicago PD stars Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos, marking the first time the pair will appear together in an episode since 2022. Fans are eager to see how the pair’s reunion plays out and are hopeful that the crossover will bring about a happier ending for Upstead.

We’re waiting for our first look at the crossover, but behind-the-scenes photos have kept fans happy and given us additional glimpses of Soffer and Spiridakos back in action. With the crossover inching closer, we should get episode stills soon or perhaps a new promo, but for now NBC has released the official 2026 One Chicago crossover art for the “Reckoning” event.

Upon first seeing the key art for the crossover, we were initially thrilled. The promotional art, pictured below, features several key characters from Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD. While the art didn’t give anything away from the crossover, the inclusion of the selected characters on the poster seemed to suggest that they’d all be featured in the crossover which was exciting given that it included many favorite characters.

Unfortunately, the One Chicago crossover art is not what it seems and is actually quite disappointing.

At first glance, it seems that the poster is newly created for the crossover; however, that is not the case and the art simply recycles the promotional poster which was released in the fall ahead of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD’s returns. The only difference is that the creative department slapped the words “crossover event” under the One Chicago branding.

Given how little promotional materials have been released for the crossover during the One Chicago shows’ break in the schedule, we were thrilled to get key art and disappointed when we realized it’s not truly original to the crossover. It’s a letdown not to get a poster featuring new materials as the NBC creative team always does incredible work with its key art for the One Chicago shows.

It would have been great to get new art featuring the characters who will be appearing in the crossover event, including Upton and Halstead. We wouldn’t have even been upset if the new art reused the cast photos for the poster had there been some creative effort to bring fans something new to promote the crossover.

Instead, we’ve got a copy and paste style poster that doesn’t offer up anything new to fans.

Hopefully, we’ll get fresh content soon in the form of episode stills from the crossover, which should be arriving sometime ahead of the crossover’s release on March 4!
