Power Book II: Ghost fans meltdown over two-week delay for penultimate episode

The Power Ghost season three finale is looming in fans’ minds but it looks like they are going to have to wait a while to see the story unravel.

Last week’s new instalment treated fans to a dramatic action-packed episode from start to finish.

This included a big revelation when it comes to Cooper Saxe’s (played by Shane Johnson) death and also Effie’s (Alix Lapri) arrest.

Unfortunately for fans, there is no new episode airing this Friday, May 12, meaning there is a huge two-week delay between the most recent episode and the next.

The hit Starz crime-drama is set to resume two weeks later on May 19 with its ninth episode titled A Last Gift.

Fans will be able to see what’s in store for Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) and the rest of the cast as the series draws to a close with its last two episodes.

Although there has been a delay, Starz teased what drama will unfold in the next instalment.

The synopsis for episode nine reads: “Tariq scrambles to get ahead of information that could incriminate the drug organisation and jeopardize his family’s safety.”

“The feds double down and set their sights on a new target to aid their investigation,” it concludes.

After realising there is no new episode this week, fans stormed to social media to share their anger at the “unfair” delay.

Taking to Twitter, one fan @Ebunolla4 fumed: “No Powerbook ii for two weeks?? This is unfair!!!”

Another @DEVVBANKS questioned: “No PowerBook this week?” after realising there was no episode scheduled to air May 12.

A third user @Mighty_Mike777 also pointed out: “No Power Book II for 2 weeks?”

With @SaifFromHTX writing: “Dude we gotta wait two weeks til next episode…”

Meanwhile @_jadaaaam pleaded: “Chile I need the next episode immediately.”

And user @JTriplett0825 said: “Y’all making us wait two weeks for another Power Book II episode after the best episode of this season.”

However, in response to the outrage, the crime drama’s official Twitter account insisted: “We promise it’s worth the wait,” for when the show returns on May 19.

It has not been announced why the series has been hit with a two-week delay.
