Power Ghost fans in meltdown as original star makes long-awaited comeback

Starz viewers were left on the edge of their seats when an original character made a surprise return to the hit Power spin-off.

Power Book II: Ghost is one episode away from its season three finale and things continue to heat up for Tariq St Patrick (played by Michael Rainey Jr).

Following the shocking murder of Cooper Saxe (Shane Johnson) and a two-week hiatus, fans were eager to see what was in store for the drug-dealing student.

While Davis MacLean (Method Man) was forced to prove he did not influence his brother Theo Rollins (Jordan Mahome) to murder Saxe, things were also kicking off for the Tejada family.

Monet’s relationship with her three children was threatened to change forever when they discovered she set up Gordo Castillo (Erik Hernandez) to kill their father.

Lorezo Tejada (Berto Colon) was brutally murdered after he confessed to killing Monet’s oldest son, Zeke Cross (Daniel Bellomy).

Despite the action-packed events of episode nine, viewers encountered a major cliffhanger when a familiar Mustang pulled up in the final moments of the show.

Fans were sent into a meltdown as this marked the return of Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora).

Taking to Twitter @Charles_R23 exclaimed: “TOMMY MUTHAF****N EGAN!!!!!!”

As @Brittany_Geneva celebrated: “Tommy is back and I couldn’t be happier it’s been too long.”

A third viewer @badasssyaa added: “I was so happy to see Tommy.”

As @oluwatoby wrote: “The last 3 OGs standing. Tommy, Tasha and 2-Bit #PowerGhost.”

@allaboutdede echoed: “ I love how they brought back all the OG’s!! Welcome back TOMMY, TASHA, TAMEIKA, & 2 bit.” (sic)

Tommy showed up the moment he learned of Tasha St Patrick’s (Naturi Naughton) location and was ready to get revenge.

Although Tommy and Tasha once considered themselves family, their friendship went sour after the death of her husband James ‘Ghost’ St Patrick (Omari Hardwick).

Though Tasha knew Tariq had killed his father, she claimed Tommy was behind the murder.

While he faked his death, Tasha was placed in witness protection, leaving Tariq to navigate his new life alone and without family.

However, a brutal war lies ahead for the youngster as the promo clip for the season finale shows Tommy warning him: “You want to survive you’re either a civilian or a gangster.”
