Sam Heughan Celebrates Birthday With Sweet Smile—and Fruity Cake

The hot Scot celebrates his birthday one day before Jamie Fraser, whose birthday is May 1.

Break out the birthday cake! Sam Heughan turns 43 on Sunday, April 30, and he has a lot to celebrate. In fact, he posted on Instagram a photo of a birthday cake that was gifted to him on the set of his new six-part thriller, The Couple Next Door, currently filming.

He wrote: “Early Birthday cake from the fabulous @happyduckfilms crew! 🍰 🦆@eagleeyedrama”

The Couple Next Door is a deliciously dark, psychological drama, exploring the stultifying claustrophobia of suburbia and the fallout of chasing your darkest desires.

Set in modern day, Heughan will hang up his kilt and play a a traffic cop, Danny, who shares a passionate night with his beautiful but troubled neighbor Evie (Eleanor Tomlinson), which leads to some of the aforementioned fallout. The drama is also for STARZ.

But there’s lots more than birthday cakes for Heughan to look forward to this year. It looks to be one to remember with so much happening in his life.
