When the show has been on the air for 15 years and has gained such a loyal and devoted following, it’s not surprising that people struggle with letting go when it comes to an end. Life just feels too empty without your favorite characters adding something new to it every week.
The Supernatural fandom was no exception. Ever since the show ended in 2020, the internet has been abuzz with ways to bring it back one way or another. From possible spin-offs to books to movies, viewers were ready to jump at any opportunity to support their favorite universe.
Fortunately, all of the show’s stars seem to be on board as well. It’s just a matter of time, money, and the right ideas coming together in hopes of expanding the Supernatural universe even further. And the fandom cannot hide their excitement from getting more teases, as each day passes by.
But is there any more substantial news on the matter? It seems like the viewers will have to do with talks and nothing more for quite a while now.
Supernatural Season 16 Release Date
It may disappoint the fans, but there is still no word on the release date for season 16. Despite all the teasing from the cast and the slightly mysterious hints and clues from the official Supernatural accounts on social media, the question of whether the revival will happen is still hanging in the air.
However, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, who played the Winchester brothers in the original series, remain hopeful. They are the ones who reignited the conversation by answering fan questions during The Creation HI panel. It was clear that there was a lot of excitement and anticipation coming from both the cast and the fans.
“I have some ideas, and I hope that now that the writers are back, and the actors are back, that we all get to see these scenes play out,” Padalecki said.

His co-star was a little more vague, saying that “there are conversations regarding that conversation,” but the answer only adds to the overall positive signs for the upcoming revival. What makes the fandom happiest is to see that the team behind the show is just as excited about the possibility as they are.
