This Grey’s Anatomy Character Had Fans Rushing to Hit Fast-Forward

Sadie Harris is the Grey’s Anatomy character everyone loves to hate.

Die-hard fans of Grey’s Anatomy know how the characters of the series simply can’t leave you indifferent — you either love them or… well, not so much. Speaking of the latter, Sadie Harris is on the list.

Sadie Harris was introduced as Meredith’s friend from their post-college days. They even traveled through Europe together, but a massive fight in Amsterdam changed their friendship forever.

Sadie later joined Seattle Grace Hospital as an intern, hoping her connection with Meredith would make her internship go more smoothly. On her first day, Sadie was seen encouraging interns to practice procedures on each other, even cutting her own shoulder for them to stitch up.

Grey’s Anatomy fans brought up some strong feelings about Sadie on Reddit. The original poster mentioned that the moment Sadie appeared on screen, they immediately Googled when she’d be leaving the show. And they weren’t alone in this sentiment.

Many viewers were pretty relieved when Sadie finally left the hospital and the show. Just remember all the blunders she made during her time at the hospital. From getting diagnoses wrong to stirring up unnecessary drama, it was like she had a knack for chaos. Even George couldn’t ignore her lack of expertise, and that’s what eventually led to her saying goodbye to the hospital.

However, not all comments were negative. Some fans were intrigued by Sadie’s relationship with Meredith, and others felt that Sadie had potential and could have been developed further.

The user mandie72 mentioned, “She could have been a fun or interesting character. Show some peer relationships Meredith had before Seattle. And the Lexie jealousy could have been entertaining, or lead to some good sister bonding. Wasted character.”

There were mentions of other characters that viewers found more annoying or less likable than Sadie. For instance, one user brought up Rose as their “ugh can we be past this already” character, indicating that while Sadie wasn’t popular, she wasn’t the only character that the audience had issues with.

While Sadie Harris might not have been a fan-favorite, she certainly left an impression. You didn’t feel indifferent, and one thing’s for sure: Grey’s Anatomy knows how to create characters that get people talking.
