The 29-year-old actress plays the teenage Misty Quigley in the Showtime series.

Congratulations are in order for Yellowjackets star Samantha “Sammi” Hanratty.

The 29-year-old actress, who announced her pregnancy in August, took to Instagram on Tuesday, Dec. 31, to share the news of her baby’s birth with a black-and-white photo of the newborn’s tiny hand wrapped around her finger.

“And just like that…my world got brighter☀️12-31-24,” Hanratty captioned the pic.

Hanratty, who was expecting a baby boy, didn’t offer up any other details like the bundle of joy’s name, but it appears as though both mom and baby are doing well.

Fans sent the star their best wishes in the comments.

“A NYE baby?! Wooooow! You have a special soul on your hands. Congrats!” wrote actress and singer Shanica Knowles.

“Congratulations!!! ❤️ You are a freaking rockstar. Sending so much love your way! Congrats to dad too ofc and your mom gosh I bet she’s so happy rn 😍 🥰,” gushed a second person.

“I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE A DECEMBER BABY,” declared someone else.

Earlier in her pregnancy, she revealed that the couple’s son would be born with a cleft lip. In a video uploaded to TikTok on Sept. 25, Hanratty opened up to fans about the baby’s condition, which is described as an “opening or split in the upper lip, the roof of the mouth (palate) or both. Cleft lip and cleft palate result when facial structures that are developing in an unborn baby don’t close completely” by the Mayo Clinic.

“I’ve been doing some updates on here and having a good time sharing these things with you and I thought I would share our latest update that our baby is going to have a cleft lip and a possible cleft palate,” Hanratty said, explaining that she’s already met with specialists and created a care plan for her son which includes surgery.

“At first the news was obviously shocking because it doesn’t run in my family, it doesn’t run in my husband’s family,” Hanratty said. “The biggest thing that we all want is that we want our kids to be happy and we want our kids to be healthy…I think that both me and my husband are at peace with the fact that we know that he’s going to be OK.”
