Coronation Street ‘exit’ for pregnant Sarah Platt as history repeats itself

Coronation Street’s Sarah Platt will soon discover she’s pregnant, but is the father Damon Hay or Adam Barlow? Fans of the ITV soap think she’ll learn the tot is Damon’s and she’ll be forced to flee Weatherfield.

The following months will be complicated for Sarah Platt (played by Tina O’Brien) after she discovers she’s pregnant and some fans are convinced she will be leaving Coronation Street.

Taking to social media, Reddit user @Loyalsupporter penned: “We’ve seen the same old story before but let’s take a guess I know Damon is going to be the father because the show’s bosses do it every single time it’s not an original idea anymore.” (sic)

@CombinationOk6846 said: “They’ll lean it towards Damon then at the last minute reveal it’s Adams.”

Henry wrote: “I honestly think it will be Adam’s baby. It’s going to (potentially) drive them back together.

“No idea what’s going to happen with Damon. Other than the affair, all he has is his office swivel chair at the Bistro.”

Bryan wrote: “Why wasn’t Sarah on the pill considering she didn’t really want a baby with Adam yet?”

@KnightsOfCidona theorised: “Some speculated that Tina O’Brien is leaving the show soon as she got new acting headshots. If that’s the case I think it will be Damon’s – her relationship with Adam is irrevocably broken then and she wants to get herself and her child as far away from as possible.” (sic)

@Dizzyair07 suggested: “[It’s] Damon’s, but Damon will be killed before finding out.”

Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) recently discovered his wife Sarah had been cheating on him with resident bad boy Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths).

Sarah is set to have a DNA test in upcoming scenes to discover whether Damon or Adam is the father of her unborn child.

How will the men react when they find out the truth? Will they step up and raise the baby or want nothing to do with it?

Sarah actress Tina said in a recent interview she doesn’t want her character to reconcile with Adam.

“It’s a tricky one, I actually quite like the idea that maybe they can’t be together,” she said.

“They should be together but now circumstance has damaged their relationship and it’s hard to get that back as much as they might want to.”

Is there a way the couple can make their relationship work, or will they both part ways during Sarah’s pregnancy?
