Split Coronation Street couple reunites – but another is ‘over’

It was a good and bad day for couples in Coronation Street, with one reuniting and another being left on the rocks.

Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) split up with Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) after an ill-timed proposal on his part several days ago.

With Dev having laid off Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and sent Paul’s ashes off before Bernie was ready, he wanted a way of getting back into her good books.

However, asking her to marry him had the opposite effect, and she ended things with him.

Fortunately, the couple came back together in tonight’s episode when Dev offered his support to an emotional Bernie after Billy Mayhew’s (Daniel Brocklebank) drunken display at Paul’s ashes launch.

Dev found Bernie crying outside the Rovers and pulled her in for a hug, as she revealed that Paul’s death finally felt real now that they’d said their final farewells.

Later, the couple headed home, where they revealed to Chesney and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) that they were back together.

Elsewhere, Bethany Platt’s (Lucy Fallon) relationship with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) hit the rocks once more.

Daniel was pleased when Bethany agreed to go to the Rovers with him, marking her first time leaving the house for something other than a medical appointment since having her stoma.

However, things took a turn for the worse when Bethany’s stoma bag leaked, leaving her feeling humiliated.

Back at the flat, Bethany took her feelings out on Daniel, demanding that he get out after he defended Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) for accidentally pointing out the leak.

Later, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) was shocked to see Bethany throwing away all of her nice clothes, insisting that she wouldn’t be able to wear them anymore.

Sarah asked if she also planned on chucking Daniel too, and Bethany didn’t respond.

Is she considering ending things with Daniel for good?
