Dolph Lundgren’s Role in The Witcher Spinoff Revealed

While the third season of Netflix’s The Witcher starring Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan is preparing for release very soon, its spinoff about the Rats is filming in Cape Town, South Africa. A few days ago action legend Dolph Lundgren revealed he’s in this series. Now we have learned who he plays and it’s not who you and us thought!

Dolph Lundgren Plays a Witcher

We have learned that Dolph Lundgren has indeed been cast as a character, whose name starts with a “B”, but it’s not Bonhart, as a lot of people thought. It is, in fact, the witcher called Brehen.

Brehen, who is also known as the Cat of Iello, was a rogue witcher from the School of the Cat and was briefly featured in Andrzej Sapkowski’s Season of Storms when he has an encounter with Geralt of Rivia.

At this stage, we don’t know in which capacity will the prequel about the Rats feature Lundgren’s Brehen, but it’s an interesting addition nonetheless. At least The Witcher spinoff will have a witcher.

Aside from that, The Witcher‘s new spinoff will feature some original characters named Slemmig, Juniper and Urla. Currently we don’t know who plays them, but we know that aside from the Rats cast themselves, other potential cast also may include Deoudone van der Merwe, Warren Masemola, Stevel Marc, Max Boast and Daniela Norman.

In other Rats-related news, we now have the logo for the spinoff codenamed ‘Riff Raff’. It has the codename with a Rat in the middle.

Season 3 of The Witcher is in post-production for a June and July release. The Rats spin-off is currently in production. Stay tuned to Redanian Intelligence and do pop into our Discord server to join in on The Witcher conversation.
