Leaked ‘The Witcher’ Promo Reveals Best Look Yet at Liam Hemsworth’s Geralt

Following Henry Cavill’s departure from the series, The Witcher fans are incredibly anxious to see how Liam Hemsworth‘s version of Geralt of Rivia will compare in Netflix’s adaptation. The divisive series is set to come to an end with its next two seasons, as Hemsworth will bring Geralt’s monster-slaying adventures to a close. Fans have already seen what the Australian actor looks like in the white wig, thanks to a brief teaser released by Netflix and several leaked set photos. But, a new leaked promo has given fans their best look yet at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia… and it looks promising.

Fans are incredibly anxious to see how Liam Hemsworth performs as Geralt of Rivia in Seasons 4 and 5 of the series. Despite the series receiving many complaints from fans over its first three seasons, most agreed that Henry Cavill was the best part of the show, especially because he is also a die-hard fan of the source material. After he was cast, Hemsworth revealed that he was also a big fan of the video games. But, as fans have yet to fully see Hemsworth perform in any kind of trailer, the general anxiety of the fan base remains high.

As previously mentioned, Season 4 of The Witcher hasn’t been given an official release date yet. As production has wrapped on Season 4, and shooting on the fifth season is already underway, some were hoping that Liam Hemsworth would make his The Witcher debut later this year. However, a 2026 release now feels far more likely.

When Henry Cavill was recast after leaving the series (his departure is believed to be for creative reasons, although this hasn’t been officially confirmed), many were wondering how the series would handle Geralt’s new look in Seasons 4 and 5. Would the series simply act as if nothing happened and continue the story from where it left off? Not quite.

Season 4 will directly address the recasting by making even more alterations to Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels. The new season will use the characters of Nimue and Striborg, who are alive a century after Geralt’s story concludes, to re-frame Hemsworth as Geralt. Striborg is a traveling storyteller who was recounting Geralt’s quest to Nimue. In Season 4, Nimue will tell Striborg that he got a detail wrong, that being how Geralt looked.
