Bad news for Emmerdale and Coronation Street fans as ITV soaps pulled from schedules
Soap watchers hoping to tune into Emmerdale and Coronation Street tonight (Friday 14 June) will be disappointed to find the ITV shows cancelled in a huge schedule shake-up
Emmerdale and Coronation Street viewers will be disappointed this evening (Friday 14 June) as the ITV shows have been cancelled in a huge schedule shake-up.
The hit ITV soaps typically air on Friday night with Emmerdale airing 7:30pm while Coronation Street airs 8pm. However, tonight, in a huge schedule shake-up, viewers will miss out on their soap fix thanks to the Live UEFA Euros 2024, where it’s Germany v Scotland. The football coverage will air 6:30pm until 10:45pm.
Yet there’s more bad news ahead for soap fans as on Monday (17 June) its Australia v France with the footage airing from 4:15pm to 10:30pm. This means there will be no Emmerdale and Coronation Street again, meaning viewers have gone without a soap fix for days. Soap fans will have a chance to catch up on Tuesday (18 June) with an hour-long episode of Emmerdale from 7pm and Coronation Street airing straight after at 8pm.
It comes as Emmerdale is lining up explosive scenes next week with several village members in danger. Spoilers for next week reveal a dark Moira Dingle revenge twist after Samson Dingle’s lies put her son Matty Barton in prison. Elsewhere, Belle Dingle makes a worrying discovery about unhinged husband Tom King as she attempts to gain back control over her life amid the soap’s current hard-hitting abuse storyline. Also in the village next week, loved-up couple Nicky Milligan and Suni Sharma contemplate leaving the Dales after months of family drama.
According to reports, Nicky and Suni, played by Lewis Cope and Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana, are said to be leaving the soap and their characters will decide to depart the Dales. The on-screen fan favourite couple have reportedly already filmed their exit scenes and will bow out of the ITV soap in a surprise exit this summer, claims The Sun.
It comes after Ethan Anderson, played by Emile John, left the soap recently after his character was killed off in a shock exit last month while Samson Dingle, played by Sam Hall, is also said to be leaving the ITV soap soon. Nicky was first introduced to Emmerdale in December 2022 while Suni made his debut in July 2023. The Mirror has contacted Emmerdale for comment.
Elsewhere, Coronation Street is lining up explosive scenes next week for several of the cobbles’ residents. In upcoming scenes, the culprit behind the deepfake videos of Abi Franklin is ‘exposed’ which leads to one Weatherfield favourite possibly facing prison. Elsewhere, evil Joel Deering’s next victim is revealed after Lauren Bolton. Also on the cobbles, Nick Tilsley and Toyah Battersby will find themselves blackmailed amid their shock affair while a cobbles exit will leave one character devastated.
