Law & Order: SVU Season 26 BTS Photo Reveals First Look At Benson’s Team
Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay shares a new behind-the-scenes photo from season 26, revealing Benson’s team. Serving as a spinoff of NBC’s hit Law & Order, the Dick Wolf series premiered in 1999, following the Special Victims Unit as they investigate and prosecute sexual crimes that are often pulled right from real-life headlines. Law & Order: SVU season 26 is set to bring the hit police procedural back later this year, with Harigtay reprising her role as Olivia Benson alongside Ice-T as Fin Tutuola.
In a recent post on Instagram, Hargitay shares a first-look at Law & Order: SVU season 26, unveiling Benson’s team.

Benson’s New Team In Law & Order: SVU Explained
While Benson’s team won’t all be newcomers, the Law & Order: SVU cast is undergoing some changes heading into season 26. No major exits have been announced for season 26, but there are some new additions. Martinez was first confirmed to be joining the show at the end of July, though details surrounding her new detective have not yet been made public. Martinez will be familiar to some viewers for her role as June in the cast of Netflix’s Griselda, but she has also appeared in The Blacklist.
Along with the announcement that Martinez would be joining the cast, it has now been confirmed that Kane has been promoted to series regular. The actor played several different characters in early seasons of Law & Order: SVU, but joined the show in a recurring role as Detective Bruno in season 24. Outside the One Chicago universe, Kane has appeared in projects like The Irishman and Inside Amy Schumer.
Both Benson and Tutuola have been mainstays of the hit police procedural for years, but both Martinez and Kane’s roles in season 26 are sure to shake things up for these veteran characters. In more recent years, the Law & Order: SVU cast has been a little less stable and predictable than during the show’s early run, but it’s entirely possible that Martinez’s character and Kane’s Bruno will be sticking around for seasons to come to become veterans themselves. With season 26 now not far off, more looks at the upcoming season could be on the way.
