Major Coronation Street character’s return confirmed after 3 years for big new story
Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) is in for quite a shock in Coronation Street soon as Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) returns to her life.
Alina was responsible for breaking up Fiz and Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall) relationship when she started developing feelings for him.
It led Tyrone to ending things with Fiz and moving into a flat with Alina.
As Tyrone and Alina’s relationship developed, problems started to arise thanks to troublesome Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan). Unable to deal with her dad’s new partner, Hope tried to scare Alina way by setting fire to their flat.
At the time, Alina was pregnant with Tyrone’s baby. The ordeal sadly led Alina to experience a miscarriage.
A few weeks later, she announced she was expecting again, but was upset when she learnt that Tyrone had lied about Hope’s behaviour and decided to jet off to Romania.
Tyrone quickly found her at the Chariot Square Hotel, but she told him that she’d got her dates wrong and was never pregnant in the first place.
However, at the airport departures lounge, she ordered a tomato juice and cradled her stomach, indicating that she was pregnant after all.
Since Alina’s departure, Tyrone and Fiz have reunited and are now married. Next week though, Fiz is left fearing what the future may hold when Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) and Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) find her in the café and deliver some news.
They announce to Fiz that the leader of some human trafficking group in Romania is going on trial, and Alina could be called as a witness.
Towards the end of the week, Fiz tries to get her family away from the possibility of bumping into Alina by telling Ty about a deal on a holiday. Unfortunately, he isn’t too keen.
If Fiz and Tyrone come across Alina again, how much will change if she did give birth to his baby?
