Major Coronation Street star will return to the show after years away – but not quite yet
Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has teased a potential return to the cobbles, six years after her soap exit.
The 34-year-old actress played Rosie Webster over an 18-year period from 2000 when the character was only 10 years old.
Helen, who is set to make her Celebs Go Dating debut, revealed that she isn’t opposed to heading back to Weatherfield once her children are older.
‘I would never say never when it comes to Corrie but the filming schedule could be quite intense for my little boy at the moment,’ she told OK!.
‘I’d love to return at some point.’
Helen will be joined by other famous faces including Love Island’s Hannah Elizabeth and Made In Chelsea’s Tristan Phipps.
In a lengthy post, Helen previously admitted she believes part of the reason for her psychosis was the ’emotional struggle’ after splitting from long-term partner Scott Sinclair in 2022.
She left the soap in 2018 to go on maternity leave but has often spoken of how she’d love to go back when her son Charlie is a bit older.
The devoted mum Helen has spoken of wanting to focus on them. ‘I just want happy kids, and to be happy and healthy myself,’ she said.
She often shares snaps of family life with her children on Instagram as well as speaking openly about mental health. Recently she posted a picture of herself breastfeeding baby Charlie. In the picture she looks serene and happy, although she reveals that she struggled with post natal depression after the birth of two of her children.
‘Everything I do work-wise just works around the kids. So yeah, probably when Charlie gets a little bit older, maybe,’ she suggested.
