Prison danger for Coronation Street favourite as he is ‘confirmed’ as Nathan’s attacker
Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) could be the next Coronation Street resident to end up behind bars after being accused of attacking Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper).
Vile paedophile Nathan returned to the ITV soap this month after being spotted at the reconstruction of Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance.
His victim Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) noticed him amongst the crowds and rushed home to tell her boyfriend Daniel, who initially assumed it was a figment of her imagination.
Long-term viewers will remember that Nathan was imprisoned for raping Bethany back in 2017, after grooming her over a period of several months.
They first met at his tanning salon and before long she began working there and fell madly in love with him. As a result of their age gap, mum Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) prevented the two from making contact.
Desperate to get one up on her family and friends, Nathan began alienating Bethany from her loved ones and pimped her out to his own vile mates.
Left bewildered after being sexually assaulted, he continued to twist the knife further and proposed to her. The two prepared to start their new life together but as they ran away, the red flags began to show and she sought help from a family in a motorway service station.
Nathan, alongside his cronies, were handed custodial sentences.
Earlier this week, adamant that Nathan is to blame for Lauren’s disappearance, Bethany made it her mission to get to the truth.
Sarah’s concerns for her daughter began to grow, and she confided in ex-boyfriend Gary Windass (Mikey North) that she thought Bethany was becoming fixated on him.
Elsewhere, she discovered his new girlfriend worked at a nail bar, and began to do some digging.
Things reached a dramatic head when Bethany headed out with Daniel, only to be confronted by a furious Nathan, who railed at her for harassing his girlfriend.
Following the incident, Sarah, Gary and David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) gathered in the Rovers to discuss the incident, where they decide that enough is enough – they need to do something to stop him ruining Bethany’s life all over again.
Later in the day, Nathan packed up at the building site he was working on when he was suddenly struck over the head by a hooded figure and knocked unconscious.
