Star Wars: The Mandalorian Actor Shares Unfortunate Update on Season 4

The actor behind Din Djarin’s mask reveals an unfortunate update on Season 4 of The Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian star Brendan Wayne has revealed that Lucasfilm and Disney’s focus is now on the feature film The Mandalorian & Grogu, and that there are currently no plans for a season 4.

Speaking on The Chatooine Show on YouTube, Wayne, who plays the physical version of Din Djarin as Pedro Pascal provides the voice, was asked if he had heard anything regarding a season 4 of the hit series set in a galaxy far, far away. Wayne cast doubt on the development of another season, saying, “No [Season 4]. I know that we’re doing a movie for sure, that’s what I know.”

Wayne went on to confirm rumors regarding the upcoming film’s production, stating, “What I keep hearing everywhere is it’s [filming beginning in] June. I think Jon [Favreau] said June.” Wayne also said that he knows the story of the film, noting that he “knows everything [that will happen in the movie]…they couldn’t have greenlit something without a script.” No story details have been announced, but Wayne promised that the film would focus on its title characters.

It Has Been Unclear if Season 4 Will Definitely Happen

These comments come as Star Wars fans have questioned if The Mandalorian & Grogu film will come in replacement of another season or alongside more episodes. Tragically, The Mandalorian & Grogu will be missing one of the show’s key stars. Greef Karga actor Carl Weathers passed away last month, with executive producer Dave Filoni saying that “the power that he carried in his stature and his voice…We’re gonna miss him dearly…and his legacy will continue on in ways we can’t even imagine.”
