Law & Order: SVU & OC Season Finale Trailer – Benson’s Life Is Put In Danger

Benson isn’t safe from a serial killer in the trailer for the finale crossover event between Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Organized Crime.

A trailer for the finale crossover event between Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Organized Crime reveals that Olivia Benson’s (Mariska Hargitay) life is put at risk. The franchise’s future is secure, as NBC has renewed both SVU and Organized Crime along with the revived Law & Order series. But as it concludes another run, some major characters are in harm’s way, especially Captain Benson.

The new trailer for the upcoming crossover between SVU and Organized Crime, which premieres May 18 on NBC, has been revealed by ComicBook Nation. Watch it below:

In the preview for the special two-hour event Stabler (Christopher Meloni) says that the team is on the hunt for “one of the most prolific mass murderers in American history.” As if that’s not stressful enough, there’s a moment toward the end of the trailer teasing that Benson (Mariska Hargitay) could be seriously hurt. Rollins (Kelli Giddish) also continues her guest appearance.

What To Expect From The Law & Order Crossover Event

The upcoming crossover is a continuation of an event that began with Rollins appearing in Law & Order: Organized Crime season 3. Giddish reprised her role for the episode “Shadowërk,” where Stabler and Benson expose a revenge-for-hire scheme on the dark web. As the team looks for the anonymous creator, Stabler asks Professor Rollins for help with a key clue. These events will carry over into the SVU episode on May 18, titled “All Pain Is One Malady,” and also doubles as the seas on finale.

The episode’s summary, via SpoilerTV, confirms that the search for a revenge-for-hire crime ring continues. Benson and Stabler will combine forces on the case, which has now spread globally. Fin (Ice-T) and Bruno (Kerry Lane), meanwhile, help a sexually abused victim that’s been assaulted a second time. Ultimately, the plan by Jet (Ainsley Seiger) to hack the dark web backfires and puts the team in danger.

Given the episode “With Many Names,” the Organized Crime portion of the crossover, which follows SVU, and doubles as OC’s season finale, Stabler and Benson are benched by the U.S. Attorney at a crucial moment, just as they’re closing in on their target. Rollins, meanwhile, confronts a witness who refuses to cooperate, so the season finale promises to be a busy send-off for the Law & Order audience.
