The Witcher is Hemsworth’s only confirmed upcoming project at this time, which makes it seem even more likely that he would appear on a talk show in order to promote the new season. It remains to be seen if Hemsworth’s appearance could come shortly before episodes arrive as the hype is building or even shortly after they make their debut on the streaming giant.
The Witcher Season 4 wrapped filming back in October 2024, meaning it’s been almost a year without a proper release date announcement. If this latest rumor about Hemsworth’s upcoming appearance does turn out to be related to The Witcher, it seems likely that Netflix might be shifting into gear to begin properly promoting new episodes in the coming weeks.
Hemsworth Will Debut as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher Season 4
The first season of The Witcher was released on Netflix back in 2019, and for the three seasons that have aired to-date, Henry Cavill has played the leading role of Geralt of Rivia. This will change in the upcoming season, with Hemsworth stepping into the role after Cavill left the series back in 2022.
In April 2024, Netflix renewed The Witcher for a fifth and final season, meaning fans will only get to see Hemsworth in action for a relatively short period of time. Other main cast members starring in the series include Anya Cahlotra, Freya Allan, Eamon Farren and Joey Batey.
