The hit drama has been on the air for 27 seasons, and while Law & Order: SVU is known for its revolving door of actors and guest stars, some familiar faces continue to appear in each episode … right?
Well, it seems like folks had quite the scare when they realized Ice-T hadn’t been on as Fin Tutuola in a while. Given how he’s been a staple on Law & Order: SVU since season 2, viewers were concerned that the actor might have stepped away from the NBC series. So, did Ice-T leave Law & Order: SVU?
Ice-T made sure to let his followers know what’s up.
Ice-T posted a video on X back in March to let fans know that, despite his absence for much of season 27, they can expect to see Fin return to SVU ahead of the season finale.
“Going out to all my SVU fans—here I am,” he stated in the clip on March 10. “We’re back on the set. And for all of you who have been worrying about Fin, I am on the last three episodes of the season. Which means going into season 28, Fin will still be alive and breathing.”
Ice-T also teased that he had a good reason for not being on the show, but was keeping things on the down low for now.
“I know you guys have been waiting to see me back, but I’ve been doing a lot of other cool things,” he added. “In the meantime, yes—I’m on the set, we’re now shooting the last three episodes.”
Upon seeing Ice-T’s status, fans bombarded him with excitement.
“Welcome back!! And thank you so much for giving us happiness!” one person wrote in the comments. “Finally popped up on my fyp. What up ICE T?” another exclaimed. “Been missing you on the show, Ice! So glad you’ll be back for the ending episodes, and most DEFINITELY excited to see you in SVU28! Aye!” a different follower added.
