Charlotte Jordan delivers big update that clarifies Coronation Street exit
Coronation Street’s Charlotte Jordan has dropped a hint about her forthcoming exit.
The actress, 29, confirmed earlier this month that she has quit her role as Rovers Return landlady Daisy Midgeley after four years on the ITV soap.
She is one of several cast members who have announced they are leaving this year – but it seems fans will be seeing Daisy on screen for a while yet.
Charlotte revealed she was still filming scenes for the show in a post she shared on Instagram on Friday.
Posting on her Stories, she could be seen behind the bar of the Rovers as she wrote: ‘Thank god it’s Friday.’
The soap films around six weeks in advance of transmission, meaning Daisy will still be treading the cobbles until late March at least.
The character is currently involved in a complicated love quadrangle involving Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).
Fans recently saw her discover she is pregnant, but she has been unsure whether the father is Kit’s or her ex-boyfriend Daniel’s, who she slept with before Christmas.
In a statement, Charlotte previously said of her exit: ‘My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish.
‘It’s been a privilege to be part of a wonderful institution with even more wonderful colleagues who have taught me so much.
‘After a brilliant four years for Daisy it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities.’
