Lisa George has had quite the dilemma on her hands
Coronation Street fans have rushed to send positive messages after Beth Tinker star Lisa George shared an honest update on social media.
Lisa has played the loveable Corrie character since 2011, having won fans over from the off when her Weatherfield alter-ego had a date with Steve McDonald. On Wednesday Lisa took to Instagram as she shared a dilemma.
The actress was left with “nothing to wear” ahead of this weekend’s Pride of Britain awards. The ceremony takes place on Sunday, October 8, with the awards airing on TV on Thursday, October 12.
Sharing a snap of herself looking happy and clutching a bag, Lisa told her 61,000 followers: “How many women have declared ‘I have nothing to wear???!!!’” Well that was me….So yesterday had a massive panic.
“All the dresses I had ordered for the forthcoming @prideofbritain awards this weekend weren’t right… I felt horrible in every single one, just didn’t feel comfortable. I made a phone call to @cinders_party_dress in desperation as I was almost in tears and my fairy godmother came to the rescue.”
Lisa added that she cannot thank the staff enough for “calming me down” and continued: “I couldn’t have asked for a better customer service – amazing!! I felt relaxed and finally happy to find the dress that I knew would make me feel confident and comfortable.
“Just amazing… cannot thank @cinders_party_dress enough”.
