Coronation Street star Sacha Parkinson has revealed that she is pregnant with her first child in an adorable social media post.
Taking to Instagram, the actress, who is known to soap fans for her role as Sian Powers, shared a sweet video of her laying down several polaroid pictures.
In one snap, her pet dog sits alongside a series of scan photos, in another she is holding up a baby grow, while several others show her cradling her bump.
‘I have a feeling next year’s is going to be a wild one,’ she wrote in the caption of the post.
Countless fellow soap stars rushed to the comments of the post to share their joy at the news, with Emmerdale actor Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle, writing: ‘What?!!!!!!!!!!!!??! Wow wow wow!! Ahhh mate you’re gonna be amazing parents!!! Congratulations!!!’
Georgia May Foote, who starred as Katy Armstrong in Corrie, also wrote: ‘Omg!!!! This is amazing! Congratulations!’
Other Corrie stars, including Nikki Sanderson, Ellie Leach and Lucy Fallon also offered their congratulations to the mum-to-be.
Meanwhile, Brooke Vincent, who played on-screen partner Sophie Webster, shared a series of crying emojis, followed by: ‘I love you all so much!!’
Sacha played the role of Sian Powers on the cobbles from 2009 to 2011.
She was involved in a major storyline that saw her character fall in love with best friend Sophie.
Unfortunately, on the day of their wedding everything fell apart when Sophie got cold feet at the altar.
After a long chat, Sian agreed to give Sophie another chance, until she heard Sophie talking to Amber Kalirai about a kiss they had shared several months before.
Heartbroken Sian then called it quits with Sophie before leaving Weatherfield altogether.
In recent months, Sacha and Brooke have thrilled fans of Sophie and Sian by reuniting and sharing snaps together.
In one caption, Brooke labelled Sacha as ‘the one that got away’ – in reference to the heartbreaking end of their storyline – alongside several broken heart emojis.
Last October, Sacha announced her engagement to partner John in a sweet picture, showing off her engagement ring.
