Coronation Street’s Jude Riordan ‘can’t cope’ as he says ‘that’s it’

The young actor has played Sam Blakeman in Corrie for almost four years

Young Coronation Street star Jude Riordan has declared he “can’t cope” after the ITV soap aired on Monday night.

The 12-year-old, from St Helens, has played Sam Blakeman in Corrie since 2020. Since then he has won acclaim for his performances and become a firm favourite with soap fans.

As viewers will know, a storyline currently playing out has seen much-loved Weatherfield Roy Cropper in the frame for the suspected murder of missing Lauren Bolton. The 18-year-old has not been seen on the cobbles for a few weeks now.

Roy was arrested last week and, in scenes that aired in the latest episode, he was approached by some of Lauren’s dad’s scary associates. They cornered Roy in the café and demanded he tell them where Lauren is.

A clip of the interaction was shared on Corrie’s official Instagram account after it went out on ITV. The post was captioned: “You can’t hurt our Roy!”

Fans have been quick to respond in the comments section, and so has Jude, who said: “Right that’s it. Get me my telescope [fist emoji] can’t cope with this now.”
